John A. Beahm
Associate Director of Institutional Giving
John is an Advancement and Business Development professional with over 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, sales, non-profit management, and fundraising through organizations that leveraged his strength in relationship management to achieve increased awareness, affinity, and revenue. John’s career bridged the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors with Jenzabar, Inc., an educational software company headquartered in Boston serving colleges and universities in the US and abroad., first as External Relations Manager, then Account Manager, and then as Executive Director of The Jenzabar Foundation, a corporate philanthropy that made grants to college student groups engaged in community service work. Among the highlights of his work with the Foundation, John was invited to join the Board of the Millennium Campus Network (MCN), a grantee. Now in his tenth year on the MCN Board and serving as Board Chair, John has seen the organization grow into one with worldwide influence and a unique partnership with the United Nations that provides leadership training to college students working on service projects in support of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. John later joined Cambridge College as its Senior Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations and served as Interim Managing Director of Advancement during a gap between Vice Presidents.
John is particularly passionate about education and its role in leveling the societal playing field, driven by his personal journey, which includes parenting, mentoring and volunteering. He also loves his family, friends, community, his dog, and the outdoors.
